Green Glitter Rose Pedicure |
Icing Polish "absinthe" |
All supplies used for this design |
I'm loving my new camera because the colors are actually turning out really true to life in the pictures. This week I wanted to do something fun and fancy for my toes so I chose a design based around this great shimmery lime green shade I got from Icing recently. For those who don't know Icing is actually like a Claire's for grownups. I really like their nail polish because they have some of the most unique shades I have ever seen from any brand and the quality is actually pretty amazing. In general they tend to be totally opaque in two coats and apply smoothly without an streaks. They are also pretty true to bottle color when applied on the nail which is something alot of companies sometimes miss the mark on. I painted the black rose using black acrylic paint and a small size dotting tool. I actually only added the glitter as an afterthought with a fan brush but I think it adds quite a bit to the design. The glitter was actually one I bought at the dollar tree and it came in a pack of three. I totally forgot to include the rhinestones in the pictures of the supplies but I did add one last green rhinestone on my big toes. I hope you enjoy this week's nail art design, thanks for reading!
