When I was at Ross this week I saw a random bottle of Essie brand nail polish on sale for three dollars which was a great score considering this brand sells for about $8 in most stores. If you check my blog regularly you know that I rarely, if ever, spend more than 3 maximum four dollars on my nail polish just because I personally can't justify spending more then that on something that at the end of the day works just as well as the inexpensive versions. But since it was a good deal I decided to test it out to see if this brand was really all that. Personally I found the formula a bit watery, however if I cleaned out the brush pretty well by wiping the sides of the bottle before application I found it applied much easier and was actually totally opaque in two coats. So I was pleased with the color payoff but I still don't think I personally could ever justify spending $8 on nail polish... but hey that's just me :) . Anyway I thought this blue was such a beautiful color with just a tiny hint of shimmer that it reminded me of a fine china. So I wanted to add this handpainted border of hearts and swirls to complete the look of beautiful vintage china. I used my dotting tools and my brand new detailing brushes, I am just loving those detailing brushes so much. I used them on this week's nail art too and I just love the finer details I can achieve quite easily that I used to struggle with using a straight pin, plus they were only $0.99 on Ebay so you can't beat that! So I hope you enjoyed this week's pedicure design and thanks for reading!
