Pedicure of the week: Rainbow zig zag

I have not been feeling well all week but I really don't like to skip my weekly DIY mani pedi, because its something that just makes me feel good about my appearance. I love having beautifully painted fingers and toes and I enjoy being creative in finding new designs. I opted for a very simple zig zag rainbow pattern that was so quick and easy to achieve I think it literally took me ten minutes. I just painted my toenails with one coat of white polish. (this helps the colors stand out more, sort of the equivalent of using eyeshadow primer on your lids before applying eyeshadow. It also keeps the acrylic paint from having direct contact with your nail plate) After I applied my base white I simply used neon versions of the traditional rainbow colors to give it a really summery feel, and drew the colors on with a small sized dotting tool. Of course I added topcoat to seal in the colors (since acrylic paint does wash off) and I was good to go. This look is going to be great for summer it makes me want to go the beach in sandals. :) thanks for reading have a great week!
